The South-East PDP Vice Chairman, Hon. Chidiebere Goodluck Egwu, praised the party’s new Acting National Chairman, Mohammed Abdulrahaman. Egwu stated Abdulrahaman’s rise is a vital chance for the party’s overhaul. He called on the new chairman to collaborate with the BoT, NEC, and other stakeholders to reorganize the party. Egwu, in a statement to DAILY POST, claimed Nigerians have been disadvantaged by the PDP leadership’s past inactivity as the main opposition. He urged Abdulrahaman to change this by unifying the PDP to offer Nigerians a credible alternative. The statement asserted that the PDP fostered democracy from 1999 to 2015 before the nation was “hijacked,” leading to a decline in the economy and security. On behalf of the South-East PDP members, Egwu congratulated Abdulrahaman and asked him to use this role to unite the party, free it from anti-democratic forces, and prepare it to contest the 2027 elections as a unified front.
