Ekiti roads: FERMA informs residents of progress and explains obstacles

The difficulties impeding the upkeep of federal roads in Ekiti State have been clarified by Engr. Simon Adeniran Adeniyi, Director of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, or FERMA, in that state.

He claims that one of the biggest challenges has been the rainy season, which has prevented any significant road maintenance.

According to Adeniyi, the Federal Ministry of Works is in charge of reconstruction and significant rehabilitation projects, while FERMA is responsible for maintaining the current roads.

Although the weather has been a major obstacle, he reassured the public that the federal government is working tirelessly to repair the roads.

The Ado-Aramoko-Itawure road, the Ado-Ikere-Akure road, and the Ifaki-Ikole-Omuo road are among the federal roads in Ekiti State that are presently undergoing construction or rehabilitation, according to the FERMA Director.

The work will start after the rainy season, so he asked the public to be patient.
