The Expatriates Business Awards organisers have declared that the upcoming awards will recognise the contributions of foreign individuals and businesses to Nigeria’s economy.
The event’s organisers revealed that the 2025 edition will take place on Sunday, July 6, in Lagos
At a press conference held yesterday, Miss Odunola Abayomi, the Director of Awards, characterized the ceremony as a distinctive platform established to honor the economic contributions of expatriates, foreign-owned businesses, and migrant communities in Nigeria. “With immense pride and a deep sense of purpose, we gather to reaffirm a vision that celebrates those who, though not born of this soil, have chosen to plant seeds here and watch them flourish,” she stated.
As Abayomi states, the awards are notable for their specific focus, distinguishing them from conventional recognitions that highlight only Nigerian nationals.
She emphasized that foreign enterprises have become essential contributors to Nigeria’s economic development, with substantial impacts on GDP, employment generation, and sectoral innovation.
“Nigeria transcends the definition of a nation; it is a friendly center of ventures and possibilities. She added, “And within this hub are men and women from diverse countries who have dared to dream, invest, and grow—right here on Nigerian soil.”
