Ogochukwu Eloike, a behavioral change communications specialist, has counseled women to break social boundaries and make the correct decisions in order to achieve their objectives.
In addition, Eloike encouraged women to challenge gender norms that limited them to performing a supporting role.
During her first book reading in Lagos, she offered the guidance.
“Ichabod: Daughters Who Did Not Inherit Their Mother’s Silence” is the title of the book.
The public relations professional and communications strategist encouraged women to strive for excellence and to reach their full potential.
“I want women to make decisions that are beneficial to them. “Go for it if you know it will benefit you,” Eloike said.
She claimed that her experiences served as inspiration for the book.
“What can I do to improve women’s lives so that we go from being the recipients to creating society?” I questioned myself.
“I assumed that experience was called Ichabod. I’m suggesting that we lost our glory, even though it seems biblical,” she remarked.”Demand to be seen for tasks you executed. Do not go for the second position, you deserve to be first,” Eloike said, adding that the book would teach women how to regain their power and be active players instead of playing the second fiddle. “These relegations are embedded in many cultures,” she said. The author emphasized the need for women’s empowerment and development as a strategy to tackle gender disparity. She urged families, groups, organizations, and governments to do more to address the root causes of misogyny, stating that unhappy mothers would most likely raise unhappy children.
“Governments and religious establishments are expected to put in place structures that would allow for equality and help in bridging gender gaps.”

It is a form of sexism that can contribute to maintaining women in lower social positions and perpetuating patriarchal roles.
