On Wednesday, the TLS Visa Application Centre in Lagos was shut down by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) for allegedly hindering ongoing investigations into violations of consumer rights.
Mrs. Boladale Adeyinka, the Commission’s Director of Surveillance and Investigations and leader of the operation, stated that the action was taken in response to numerous violations of the FCCPC Act, such as assaults on government officials and uniformed police officers and intentional disregard for lawful summonses.
Adeyinka stated that the inquiry into TLS, a private firm providing visa support services for Nigerians, commenced in March 2025 due to customer complaints about services they had paid for not being delivered.
