Customers on other bands will not receive the 1.3 million meters that were purchased under the Distribution Sector Recovery Programme (DISREP) Metering Scheme.

In a statement released yesterday, Jos Electricity Distribution Plc (JED Plc) confirmed the start of the initiative and stated that it will be installing and distributing 109,000 prepaid meters throughout the company at no cost to customers on Band A feeders.According to the statement, the metering program, which will have a pilot phase in Plateau State, aims to improve service delivery and close the metering gap in its franchise regions of Bauchi, Benue, Gombe, and Plateau States.
