As per Given, the manager of City, Pep Guardiola, will be eager to defeat everyone in the competition, including his former player Lionel Messi’s team, Inter Miami.
The ex-Manchester City goalkeeper highlighted the enormous monetary award and the associated bragging rights as factors motivating Man City.
Given told talkSPORT as quoted by Goal, “I think Guardiola will see this as an opportunity to make a bit of history as a club – the first one, get that gold badge on their chest for the next four yearsTheywillbeworldchampionsandthat’sabigstatement HeexplainedthatGuardiolaalwayswantstowinanycompetition he gets involved with.

Speaking further, Given pointed out that Guardiola was disappointed with their FA Cup defeat to Crystal Palace.
He stated that the Spaniard was prepared to win trophies, beginning with the FIFA Club World Cup in a few days, with the addition of some top players to the squad.
