In a post via their official website, the Blues announced that Coelho left for French Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg. He will become their new assistant head coach.

Recently, McFarlane transferred to Chelsea from Southampton. He will be aided by former players of the Chelsea Academy, Andy Ross and James Simmonds.

Last season, Coelho led Chelsea’s young Blues to a third-place finish in Premier League 2.

The 40-year-old came to Chelsea after having a successful season as Estoril’s head coach for the Under-23s
