According to the DAILY POST, Nigeria’s Flamingos have returned to their homeland after losing the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. On Friday morning, the players and their representatives landed at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. After losing to Italy 4-0 in the Round of 16 on Tuesday, Bankole Olowookere’s team was eliminated from the U-17 Women’s World Cup. Out of four competition games, Nigeria won three of them. In their first two games, the West Africans were defeated by Canada and France. In their most recent group match, they triumphed 4-0 over Samoa.
