Yinka Sanni, former CEO of Stanbic IBTC Holdings, has been appointed as Chairman by FrieslandCampina WAMCO.
This occurred after Mr. Moyo Ajekigbe’s retirement, who had chaired the Board from 2010 to 2025.
Ore Famurewa, the Company’s Executive Director of Corporate Affairs, praised the retiring Chairman in a statement for “his exemplary leadership and significant contributions as Chairman of the Board of Directors. ”
Mr. Ajekigbe steered the company through different stages of growth and change, including the initiation of dairy development. Famurewa notes that he is an experienced banker with over 32 years of experience, during which “tenure saw the implementation of innovative strategies that enhanced the company’s market position.”
Sanni brings over 35 years of experience in the financial services sector to his new position. He has occupied several leadership positions, including his latest role as Group Executive at Standard Bank Group. He held the position of Chief Executive Officer for the Africa Region at both the Standard Bank Group and Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC.
