Manu Garba, the head coach of the Golden Eaglets, has stated that his squad would improve when they play Burkina Faso in the current 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship.
On Wednesday, Garba’s team defeated Benin Republic 4-1 to guarantee a spot in the semifinals.
When the Eaglets play Burkina Faso at Yammosoukro on Saturday, they hope to take first place in Group B.
After the match, Garba declared, “As the tournament goes on, we will see a better Nigerian team.”
“This was the team’s first international match; they were only put together about a month ago.”
The competition’s top two teams will advance to the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations in 2026.
