World No. 2 Coco Gauff advanced to her fifth consecutive French Open quarterfinal on Monday, defeating Russian 20th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova with a score of 6-0, 7-5.
With the help of three service breaks, Gauff sped through the first set. Although Alexandrova battled more fiercely in the second set, Gauff ultimately secured her victory after 82 minutes.
The 21-year-old Gauff will play reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys in an all-American quarter final on Wednesday.
