In order to support small claims court procedures for Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Businesses in the nation, the German Agency for Development (GIZ) organized a peer-learning workshop through the Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Development program (SEDIN) and the Agriculture Value Chain Facility (EU VACE/TARED), which was cofounded by the German government and the EU.
In cooperation with the Agriculture Value Chain Facility (EU VACE/TARED), a peer learning session on Small Claims Courts (SCCs) and Multi-Door Courthouses (MDCs) was held in Abuja on Thursday.
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the foundation of Nigeria’s economy, fostering employment, innovation, and inclusive growth, according to Markus Wauschkuhn, head of the Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Development and Decent Employment in Nigeria Program – SEDIN and the cluster coordinator of the Sustainable Economic Development Cluster (SEDEC), who spoke at the event.But many MSMEs have limited access to crucial support services like funding, market connections, capacity building, business registration, and regulatory compliance.
