Dr. Nasir Idris, the governor of Kebbi State, has characterized women as a key factor in election triumphs, pointing to their resilience and sheer numbers at the polls.
Speaking to women leaders from the state’s 225 wards and the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi, Idris made the statement.
Before future elections, he encouraged women of voting age to renew their voter cards and take part in the ongoing voter registration drive, promising that his administration would continue to put their empowerment and well-being first.
Women are reliable and persistent. “Please continue to support and be loyal to this government,” the governor said.
Abubakar Kana Zuru, the state chairman of the APC, and Hajiya Aisha Gunabi, the state women’s leader, promised that women would continue to support the government.
