Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has rejected claims that he is intentionally sidelining members of the State House of Assembly or any loyalists of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, clarifying during the commissioning of the Ahoada–Omoku Road extension in Ahoada West that reports about him shutting out political stakeholders are false. Fubara explained that his recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu was focused solely on state interests and maintained that he has no disagreements with either the National Assembly members or the state lawmakers. He stated that he has made efforts to meet with the lawmakers and is currently waiting for the agreed reconciliation meeting to be convened by party leaders, particularly mentioning that “the minister, our leader,” was supposed to arrange the meeting but it has not yet been scheduled, thus dismissing claims that he refused to meet with the lawmakers and asserting he has no reason to exclude any stakeholder.
