Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has confirmed that Mrs. Grace Adayilo, the first Head of the FCT Civil Service, has passed away. Adayilo died early Monday morning, according to BASEMEDIA. Her death’s circumstances were not immediately made public.
During the ongoing media chat with a few chosen journalists in Abuja, Wike confirmed the unflattering development.
He said he had begged President Bola Tinubu to extend the deceased’s tenure because of her diligence and characterized her as a hardworking woman.
“The late FCT Head of Service worked extremely hard, and because of this, I begged President Tinubu to prolong her term.
“I would have postponed this media chat if I had received the news of the FCT Head of Service’s passing,” he stated.
