When the two clubs play in the league round of the UEFA Champions League in November, Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has stated that he does not want to hurt Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal.
Both Cucurella and Yamal play for the Spanish national team on an international level.
Cucurella stated that he needed Yamal for the national team after leading Spain to a 3-0 victory over Bulgaria in Thursday’s World Cup qualifying match at the National Sports Academy Vasil Levski.
He went on to say that Barcelona will have a tough Champions League matchup.
Cucurella declared, “I’m prepared to take on Lamine Yamal at the club level” (via TouchlineX).
He has already told me a few things, but I need him for the national team, so I can’t hurt him. We’ll be at home, but it will be tough for them [Barcelona]. We’ll see.
On November 25, Chelsea and Barcelona will play in the Champions League at Stamford Bridge.
