The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) deputy national publicity secretary, Abdullahi Ibrahim, has criticized Nyesom Wike, the FCT minister, for repeatedly interfering and embarrassing the party.
Given that he is currently in an All Progressives Congress (APC) government, Ibrahim called Wike’s decision to impose six conditions prior to the party’s upcoming national convention “ludicrous” in an interview with Arise News on Wednesday. Why are you formulating these six requirements?” Ibrahim inquired.
Because of one person who works for the APC, you are imposing conditions on the PDP, and the entire nation is mocking us. Enough is enough. He must stop acting in this manner; we must set a boundary.
Although he previously backed Wike’s opposition to the party’s zoning plan prior to the 2023 elections, the PDP spokesman clarified that the minister’s actions now surpass sincere worries.
“I have defended his stance against the zoning formula in 2023 more than any other member of this party. I have fought alongside him on numerous occasions. However, a responsible person has to stop at some point, Ibrahim stated.Ibrahim asserts that the PDP needs to fend off any more attempts at distraction or blackmail in order to preserve its unity and reputation.
