Over two billion transactions were handled by Sterling Bank Limited’s SeaBaas banking system in the 12 months since it was activated, the company revealed Tuesday.
The bank commemorated the launch of SeaBaas, a ground-breaking core banking system created and constructed in Africa.
In addition to handling more than 2 billion transactions, the bank claimed to have slashed processing times by roughly 60% and accelerated consumer uptake by 66%, establishing new standards for financial technology’s scale, effectiveness, and dependability.Since its inception, the platform has enabled fintech integrations, agent banking networks, third-party solutions, and Sterling’s digital ecosystem, including OneBank, SterlingPro, Switch, Specta, and more.
