The Plateau State Police Command has successfully rescued the wife and one daughter of Pastor Gayus Tashvwam following their abduction from their home in Bokkos Local Government Area. The incident occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025, in Makudang Mangor village, where kidnappers seized the COCIN LCC Church cleric along with his family members.
Upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer for Bokkos coordinated a rescue mission involving police officers and local hunters. During a search of the nearby wilderness, the team safely recovered the pastor’s wife and one daughter. Security forces have since increased patrols and are continuing their search to secure the release of the pastor and his second daughter while working to apprehend the kidnappers.
