In Sokoto State’s Gada Local Government Area, a large number of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
An important figure in the ADC coalition, Senator Abubakar Gada, formally welcomed the new members on Sunday.
According to him, their choice demonstrated how many Nigerians are beginning to doubt the APC government.
Gada claims that the economic hardship and insecurity that the people of Sokoto East and the rest of the nation are experiencing have a negative impact on jobs, farming, and the availability of food.
“Our primary source of income, farming, has been destroyed due to severe security threats that our people are facing. In our communities, this has resulted in hunger, unemployment, and poverty,” he said.
He continued by saying that the increasing number of people joining the ADC demonstrates that people are willing to support a party that can address Nigeria’s issues and want change.Because they trust that we will save Nigeria, many Nigerians are flocking to ADC. People have been forced to look for hope elsewhere due to the APC government’s poor performance, and the ADC is offering that alternative,” Gada stated.
