During an intelligence-led operation along the Mafa border corridor in Borno State, troops from Operation Hadin Kai, working with the Civilian Joint Task Force, or CJTF, have retrieved three AK-47 rifles and five magazines.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed the development in a post on Sunday through his X handle.
The report claims that the operation was carried out in response to an earlier run-in with terrorists on August 7 that resulted in the neutralization of multiple fighters.Weapons thought to have been part of the insurgents’ arsenal of weapons and ammunition were found during the most recent sweep.
The troops were praised by military leaders for their achievement and encouraged to continue intelligence-driven operations throughout the North-East theater.
