Iyanya responds to allegations of favoritism in the Wizkid-Davido conflict

Afrobeats artist, Iyanya, has reacted to accusations of picking a side in the beef between his colleagues, Wizkid and Davido.

DAILY POST recalls that Wizkid and Davido reignited their agelong beef with messy social media fights last year.

Iyanya, who collaborated with Wizkid on his hit track, ‘Sexy Mama,’ earlier in his career, has been recently accused of switching sides on the Starboy boss following his public show of support for Davido’s music.

Am Mittwoch äußerte ein X-Nutzer mit dem Handle @Akubasteeny die Anschuldigung erneut, als er unter einem Beitrag der Sängerin schrieb: „Ich dachte, Wiz sei dein Freund. I’m just curious about why you changed sides and became one of Davido’s boys.

In his reaction, Iyanya clarified that he has no problems with any of their colleagues and emphasized that his support for Wizkid is the same as his support for other artists.

He claimed that the fans were causing artists to be at odds with one another.

He stated, “I don’t have a problem with any artiste. I played Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ and ‘Morayo’ just like I do with songs from all other artists. While most artists won’t admit it, they are the first to check out each other’s projects upon release. Na our job to be aware of what’s going on in the game regarding sound and so on.

“Before Fola had a hit song, I was already playing his tracks. That’s because @ubifranklin1 enjoys listening to many new musicians and always brings their music to my attention.

Fireboy ‘Adedamola’ album, Joeboy ‘Viva Lavida’ album, I Dey play all and I tell you me no get enemy o. So make una stop this friend or no friend. Me and Burna still see for club 3 weeks ago and we vibe well.
Na una fans dey try dey push agenda wey no dey.”
