The Jigawa State Executive Council, led by Governor Malam Umar Namadi, has authorized ₦91.04 billion for various development initiatives encompassing infrastructure, energy, and healthcare. Significant portions of the budget are dedicated to road construction, with ₦57.79 billion allocated for nearly 60 kilometers of township roads, and ₦15.24 billion designated for solar-powered mini-grids at key government offices and water plants. The council also approved ₦8.05 billion for upgrading and equipping general hospitals, alongside ₦689.38 million for the electrification of several educational and state institutions. Additional investments include ₦563 million for Compressed Natural Gas conversion centers, over ₦1.5 billion for skill acquisition centers, and funding for a wetland research facility and the construction of mosques.
