The Jimeta District Church Council (DCC) has won the first-ever Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa a Nigeria (EYN) inter-district volleyball tournament, which was organized by the church’s national leadership.
Jimeta DCC defeated Maiduguri DCC in the final while Yola DCC claimed the third position
Reverend Dr. Daniel Mbaya, the president of EYN, praised the 12 teams that competed in the tournament, which was hosted at the organization’s headquarters in Kwarhi. He said the purpose of the week-long event was to use athletics to foster unity within the church.
