Julius Berger pays N5.2b gross dividend to shareholders

Julius Berger Nigeria PLC has revealed that it will pay its shareholders a total gross dividend of N5.2bn. This announcement was made at the company’s 55th Annual General Meeting, where confidence was expressed in the leadership of newly appointed board Chairman Engr. Goni Sheikh and Managing Director Engr. Peer Lubasch.

During the meeting, the Managing Director emphasized the difficulties facing the organization in his address to shareholders. He noted that the socio-economic environment is fraught with significant challenges due to various persistent and compounding pressures, such as currency devaluation. He further mentioned that ongoing foreign exchange scarcity, rising construction costs, rampant inflation, increased fuel prices, high lending rates, global market uncertainties, and domestic security issues are among the challenges confronting the company.
