Kiddwaya, the rich heir and well-known Big Brother Naija reality show star, is under criticism for asking Nigerians for financial donations.
According to the DAILY POST, Kiddwaya started a fundraising campaign on Wednesday through his non-governmental organization to help the Benue massacre victims.
In a message posted on X, Kiddwaya urged everyone to contribute between N500 and N500,000. “We’re raising funds at the Kiddwaya Foundation to give those impacted food, housing, and vital support. But we need your assistance; we can’t do it by ourselves.
Following his frequent online displays of affluence and a showy lifestyle, his appeal for funds was met with criticism.
Kiddwaya responded to the criticism by removing the widely shared post from his page.
According to the DAILY POST, a Fulani herdsmen attack in the Benue State hamlet of Yelewata on Friday night and Saturday morning resulted in the burning alive of more than 200 people.
