Famous Nigerian Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde, professionally called Kwam1, has called out his senior colleague and mentor, Ayinla Kollington, for not reciprocating his kind gesture.
recalls that Kwam1’s mother died on January 18, 2025, and was buried on the same day in accordance with Islamic rites.
However, expressing his anger in an interview with On Air Personality, OAP Bamidele Adeyanju on Agbaletu Radio, Kwam1 narrated how he stood with Kollington when his mother died, and handled all the finances.
He expressed his disappointment by accusing Kollington of having repaid him poorly.
Kwam1 stated, “I feel a lot of anger toward Alhaji Kollington for not contacting me or expressing sympathy after my mother’s passing. I collaborated with him to inter his own mother. I assisted him in arranging a proper burial for his mother. I arranged for various dignitaries to attend the burial, including governors, and managed all financial aspects entirely.
“Look at how he reimbursed me. What could have occurred after all I did for him? When my mom died, he was in Nigeria, fit and healthy. The only excuse he could offer was that he called and I didn’t answer. Shouldn’t I be angry?
