Morocco 2025: Flamingos prepare for matchup with Algeria

In anticipation of their 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying match against Algeria this weekend, Nigeria’s Flamingos have intensified their preparations.

On Saturday, the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne will host the opening leg of the final qualifying round match.

Since defeating South Africa’s Bantwana over two legs last month, the Flamingos have stayed at the Remo Stars Sports Institute.

In the previous round, Bankole Olowookere’s team defeated the Bantwana 5-1 overall.

Nigeria and Algeria’s match will determine who advances to the World Cup.

Morocco will host the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup this year from October 17 to November 8. The competition has been extended to a 24-nation championship, and Africa will send five teams, including the host country, Morocco, to the finals.
