Nigeria’s Flamingos thrashed Algeria 4–0 in the first leg of their 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final qualifying round encounter in Ikenne on Saturday.
Queens Joseph opened the scoring for the Flamingos after just three minutes.
The hosts doubled their lead through Zainab Oluwaseun in the 13th minute
Three minutes later, Joseph scored her second goal of the match.
On the stroke of the ninetieth minute, substitute Aishat Animashaun scored the fourth goal, adding the cherry on top.
The Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida will host the return match on Friday, April 25.
