Five airlines, including both domestic and foreign carriers, have signed contracts with Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc, which provides aviation ground services in Nigeria. Royal Air Maroc has signed a five-year contract with NAHCO for cargo freighter and warehousing services in Lagos and Abuja, which will run until November 2029. This agreement supplements the airline’s current comprehensive handling contract with NAHCO that covers all other operations in Nigeria. Additionally, Kenya Airways has extended its partnership with NAHCO for an additional five years.
NAHCO claims that both passenger and freight operations within Nigeria are covered by the extended agreement, along with any new routes the airline may launch during that time.
For passenger handling services at major Nigerian airports, such as Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, and Osubi, among others, Dornier Aviation and NAHCO inked a three-year agreement.
NAHCO was also selected by Enugu Air, a new domestic carrier, to oversee its ground operations across the country.
The five-year agreement includes full passenger flight handling across all Nigerian airports.
Additionally, Cronos Airline renewed its partnership with NAHCO for another three years. The deal covers passenger services in Lagos and Port Harcourt.
NAHCO said these contracts, both new and renewed, signal continued confidence in the company’s capabilities and reflect a trend of carriers regional, domestic, and international opting for the company’s comprehensive aviation solutions.
Earlier this year, NAHCO announced similar agreements with regional airlines Afrijet and Air Sierra Leone, strengthening its footprint in West Africa’s aviation sector.
Speaking on the developments, NAHCO’s Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development, Saheed Lasisi, expressed satisfaction with the new contracts, saying, “This is truly very good for NAHCO and the airlines we have signed these contracts with. When the client’s aircraft is on the ground, there is just one company that can take care of its operations like her very own NAHCO.”
Group Managing Director, Mr. Olumuyiwa Olumekun, described the new deals as a “positive indicator for the company’s future growth,” emphasizing NAHCO’s commitment to continuous improvement and service delivery.
