NESG’s recommendations for accelerating Nigeria’s industrialization

According to the Nigerian Economic Group (NESG), policies that encourage the expansion of enterprises and sufficient cooperation with the private sector are necessary for Nigeria to meet its industrialization goal.

In light of this, the NESG announced that it will bring together business executives, legislators, investors, development partners, and entrepreneurs during the 31st Nigerian Economic Summit (NES #31) to map out Nigeria’s industrial transition. The NESG’s Acting Head of Strategic Communication and Advocacy said in a statement released yesterday in Abuja that the pressing need to realign Nigeria’s economy for sustainable growth was the driving force behind the decision to invite such a wide variety of stakeholders.

Nigeria’s path to prosperity hinges on its ability to transition from a consumption-driven to a production-based economy.
