In a move aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and broadening access to sustainable electricity, the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP) has partnered with the Federal Ministry of Power to establish two Energy Efficiency Networks (EEN) in Kano State.
The initiative, which receives funding from both the German Development Cooperation and the European Union, seeks to assist industries—especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—in reducing energy costs, enhancing productivity, and promoting environmental sustainability
He said energy now accounts for over 45 per cent of total production costs, a major contributor to the declining performance of industries across the country.
