Yesterday, Mallam Haruna N. Yahaya was inaugurated as the 61st president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in Lagos.
At 11:16 am precisely, Davidson Alaribe, his predecessor and the 60th president of ICAN, conferred upon Yahaya—who was formerly the organization’s vice president—the insignia of office.
He noted that the ICAN transition process, spanning six decades, remains a beacon of hope for Nigeria in the leadership recruitment process.
