Nigerian women frequently date for financial gain rather than romance, according to Nigerian artist Erhiga Agarivbie, better known by his stage name Erigga.
According to Naija News, Erigga claimed in a post on Thursday, April 14, 2025, on his 𝕏 handle that love to Nigerian women is paying their bills, whereas romance to them is a financial gesture.
He asserts that the actions taking place in Nigeria are not a connection.
“Nigerian women are not deep,” he wrote. They don’t date for love; they date to survive. An purposeful man is hence wealthy. Romance entails financial gestures.
