The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected Nigerian referee Yemisi Eunice Akintoye as one of the 18 officials for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Akintoye belongs to the Lagos State Football Referees Council.
Her outstanding performance at the preparatory course in Cairo, Egypt, led to the selection of the 30-year-old.
She has officiated in the WAFU Women’s Champions League and CAF Women’s Champions League in the past.
Morocco will host the WAFCON 2024 finals from Saturday ,5 July to Saturday, 26, 2025.
The Banyana Banyana of South Africa are the defending champions of the competition
