Yusuf Salihu has been named ABS FC’s new head coach for the 2025–2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season by Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
At a brief ceremony held at the Taiwo Awoniyi Media Sports Centre, Kwara SWAN Secretariat, George Innih Stadium, Ilorin, the Ilorin-based club confirmed Salihu’s appointment.
Salihu presented his plans for the club and conveyed his appreciation for the chance.
Football is still a team sport because I can’t do it alone; it requires teamwork. We will succeed if we are united, committed, and have the backing of stakeholders and management,” Salihu said at his unveiling.
Salihu replaced Cameroonian strategist Encho Anthony, who left the team at the end of the previous campaign.
The 2024–25 season saw ABS FC miss out in the NNL playoffs.
