NNL: Wikki Tourists and Barau FC clinch Super Eight playoff spots

Wikki Tourists and Barau FC have secured qualification to the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Eight playoff tournament.

In their last game of the season, the Bauchi Elephants defeated Zamfara United 4-1 at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi.

Mighty Jets and Barau FC played to a scoreless tie in Jos.

Wikki Tourists secured the top position in Northern Conference C with 23 points, while Barau FC follows in second place with 19 points from 12 games.

Abdullahi Maikaba’s team thanked the club supporters for their unwavering backing throughout the campaign.

“After finishing at the top of Northern Conference C with 23 points, we are pleased to confirm our qualification for the 2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 Promotional Play-Offs.

Wikki Tourists stated after the game, “Our victory over Zamfara United in the final home match secured our place at the top of the table.”

“We express our gratitude to our fans, players, technical crew, and management for their steadfast support over the course of the season.

‘We are now turning our attention to the Super 8 as we carry on with our effort to move up to the Nigeria Premier Football League. Wikki Tourists, Barau FC, Yobe Desert Stars, and Doma United are the only four teams that have secured a spot in the playoff competition. The remaining four teams will be determined from Southern Conference A and B.
