In Sunday’s Nigeria Premier Football League, or NPFL, matchday three matchup against El-kanemi Warriors, Rivers United’s technical adviser Finidi George stated that his team should get a piece of the action.
At Maiduguri’s El-kanemi Stadium, Finidi’s team held their hosts to a scoreless draw.
With one victory and two draws this season, the Port Harcourt team is undefeated in the NPFL.
After scoring their second road point of the season, Finidi stated that they can go back to their base with satisfaction.
“I believe we’re quite pleased with the outcome overall. There was a 50/50 first half. We had to defend while trying to go on the counterattack because they pushed us back in the second half, especially in the final twenty-five minutes, the coach stated.
Rivers United has five points from three games, good for eighth place in the NPFL log.
