Nigeria defender Igoh Ogbu has opened up on his decision to sign a new contract with Czech Republic outfit, Slavia Prague.
Ogbu penned a one-year contract extension with the Czech League champions last week.
The 25-year-old will now remain at the Eden Park until 2027.
It’s wonderful for me to be at Slavia. In order to still be a member of this family. He expressed to the club’s official website, “It’s great; it means a lot to me.”
In the most recent season, Slavia Prague’s title success was heavily influenced by the centre-back’s performance.
Ogbu won his first trophy with Slavia Prague.
The ex-player of Lillestrøm mentioned that he would hold onto the moment for the rest of his life.
“Yes, for sure. The season will stay in my memory for the rest of my life. This is the first league trophy I have won with Slavia. He added, “I think I will truly remember it for the rest of my life; it’s the first time in my career that I’ve accomplished something like this.”
