Only coalition can unseat Tinubu in 2027 — Dele Momodu.

Dele Momodu, a Peoples Democratic Party chieftain and two-term presidential candidate, argued today that President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress can only be overthrown in 2027 by a coalition of political parties.

He said this while appearing in Ibadan, the state capital, on the monthly “Guest of the Month” program of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State.

Momodu claimed that although his body was still a member of the PDP, his soul had already departed.

“The PDP has everything it needs to unseat the All Progressives Congress in 2027 if it is united, but forces opposing it would prevent this from happening.

One of the reasons the APC leadership at all levels is making sure the party is factionalized is because the APC is wary of the PDP, pointing out that it is the only opposition party capable of challenging its hegemony in 2027.

A divided PDP will not be able to unseat the APC in 2027. The ruling party’s philosophy is to undermine the major opposition party.

The issue within the party presents another difficulty. Some of its members are being utilized to undermine its advancement and stability. The PDP, however, abides with the law. Prior to making any decisions regarding its members, it always adheres to due process.

He emphasized that “the law will stimulate the process of suspending or sacking errant members.”

Momodu went on to say that without a strong team and alliance, it would be nearly impossible to overthrow President Tinubu in 2027.

“Anyone who would run against the current president in a favorable manner must also come from the opposite direction in terms of regions in Nigeria,” he concluded.
