Adewale Egbedun, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, has declared the introduction of two important measures that will increase road safety and encourage business in the state.
A statement posted on the lawmaker’s official X handle on Tuesday revealed this.
The Speaker’s brief statement partially stated, “We introduced two important bills yesterday during the plenary: the Osun State Road and Vehicle Inspection Services Bill, 2024, and the Osun State Start-Up Bill, 2024.”
Osun lawmakers on Monday during the plenar Egbedun claims that the Osun State Road and Vehicle Inspection Services Bill aims to raise the state’s standards for vehicle inspections, which will lower accident rates and increase road safety.
“By improving vehicle inspection procedures, the Road and Vehicle Inspection Services Bill seeks to make roads safer for everybody,” he continued.
Equally significant is the Osun State Start-Up Bill, which targets the creation of an enabling environment for young entrepreneurs and innovative ventures in the state.
The legislation seeks to boost the local economy by fostering a vibrant start-up ecosystem.
“The Start-Up Bill is set to create a vibrant ecosystem for new businesses, driving innovation and job creation in Osun. As we move beyond the second reading of these bills, I encourage everyone to engage with us.
“Together, we can build a safer and more prosperous Osun!” Egbedun concluded.
