Police said Pastor Adefarasin committed a crime by pointing a stun pistol at a TikToker.

Police said Pastor Adefarasin committed a crime by pointing a stun pistol at a TikToker.

Pastor Paul Adefarasin, the senior pastor of House on the Rock Church, has been charged with a crime by Lagos State Commissioner of Police Olorundare Jimoh.

Jimoh said that by aiming a stun pistol at a content producer, Adefarasin had committed a crime.

The CP made this revelation on Thursday during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily.

Remember how a video clip showed Adefarasin pointing what looked like a firearm at a content creator in traffic appeared online during the first week of June?

Some social media users said that the pastor was brandishing a pistol while being filmed by a TikToker who specializes in recording luxury automobiles, which sparked public curiosity after the video went viral.

However, the well-liked pastor denied owning a gun in a statement to his followers.

Adefarasin claimed that although he pointed it at people, the object was not a gun.

The Ogun State Police Command then invited him to be questioned and then discharged him.

“Nothing is an offense under the law except what the law states,” the Lagos CP said in response to the event.

“You have committed armed robbery even under the Fire Arms Act if you make something that appears to be wood into a gun and use that disguise to seize someone else’s property.”

“It is illegal to point a stun gun at someone else and to instill fear and threat in that person at that specific moment.”
