The Qatari Ministry of Interior announced new visa regulations for Nigerian travelers.
The ministry cited recent cases of overstays as the reason for the new development.
BASEMEDIA discovered that, under the new policy, a confirmed return transfer must be booked alongside hotel reservations before a tourist or transit visa is processed.
Eligibility has also been restricted, with only females or families permitted to apply. Male travelers are no longer eligible, unless accompanied by their families.
In addition, only 5-star hotel reservations will be accepted for visa qualification.
The new requirements are effective immediately and will apply to all pending visa applications.
