Rivers Assembly’s plan to investigate Ibas is criticized by APC chieftain Eze.

Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a leader of the All Progressives Congress, has denounced the Rivers State House of Assembly’s decision to investigate the state’s former sole administrator, Ibok-Ette Ibas. He asserts that President Bola Tinubu must always be mentioned in any investigation of this kind.

According to Eze, the state assembly lacks the guts to bring the former sole administrator to trial.

The State Assembly ordered the Ibas investigation during its first session following President Tinubu lifting the ban on democratic rule in Rivers.

Eze added that the remark was a simple hoax and that it should be noted that it ends there.

Vice Admiral Ibas, rtd., has reportedly since resisted the State House of Assembly’s proposal to look into spending under his direction, according to BASEMEDIA.

From March until the middle of September, Ibas oversaw the state. On September 17, he returned power.

Around N254.37 billion was given to Rivers State by the Federation Account Allocation Committee, or FAAC, during that period.

The state’s reliance on oil-linked revenues was highlighted by the fact that the majority of the allocations—more than 50%—came from oil derivation.

Without a doubt, no probe will be conducted. In a Port Harcourt statement, Eze claimed, “Those idiots posing as Assembly members don’t know their rights from left.” Therefore, it is not appropriate to take them seriously.

“Ibas’s investigation is merely a threat for the media.” If not, it would have been wonderful to witness Ibas being brought to account for the waste of Rivers State funds.

“No record project, not even in a small interior village, for six good months.” Seeing that President Tinubu was the Supervisor of Ibas during the illegal State of emergency he should also prepare himself to account for all the illegalities that Ibas committed against Rivers State and her people.”
