Former presidential spokesman Reuben Abati was criticized today by Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, for claiming that the Minister is extremely impolite.
Abati emphasized that former Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi was his political boss and said Wike was really impolite.
Wike’s statement that Amaechi was power-hungry and couldn’t get 10 percent of the vote for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 presidential election prompted the Arise Television host to respond.
Because Amaechi is his political boss, Wike is extremely impolite and disrespectful, according to Abati. During his second time as local government chairman, Amaechi assisted him in rising to the position of LGA chairman, then to the position of Chief of Staff, and suggested that he be appointed Minister of State for Education in Abuja.
In response, Olayinka questioned how Amaechi came to be Wike’s political boss.
In his Facebook post, Olayinka remembered how, following his 2007 run to Ghana, Wike remained in Rivers State to assist Amaechi in regaining his mandate.
Olayinka claims: “This morning, I heard Egbon @abati1990 on Arise News mention that Nyesom Wike, the FCT Minister, is extremely impolite and disrespectful since Rotimi Amaechi is his political boss.
“They would claim that we don’t respect elders if we speak now. Moral Police will be formed inside the Arise TV studio by the same Reuben Abati, who was at ease on the campaign stage as the running mate of a wanted American criminal.
Like @ruffydfire, a Labour Party supporter, Reuben Abati, a POLITICIAN with a certain political attachment, will be forming objectivity.
How is the political boss of Rotimi Amaechi Wike doing? Wike served as the Chairman of the Local Government when Amaechi was a member of the House of Assembly.
Wike was in Nigeria when Amaechi fled to Ghana in 2007, spearheading the effort to reclaim Amaechi’s mandate. I won’t speak, though.
