According to the DAILY POST, Ademola Lookman attempted to push through a move to Inter Milan in the summer, and Atalanta manager Ivan Juric said the winger was given “bad advice.”
After Atalanta turned down Inter Milan’s €45 million offer in August, Lookman filed an official transfer request and went missing.
Five days prior to the 2025–2026 season beginning, the 27-year-old was shut out of the team upon his return to Bergamo.
However, Thursday was the first time this season that the Nigerian international trained with his teammates.
Lookman replaced Kamaldeen Sulemana in the 87th minute of Sunday afternoon’s match against Torino, marking his first appearance of the season.
Following the match, Juric stated that the player’s friends and family had given him poor advice to pursue a transfer to Inter.
According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, “He (Lookman) spoke to me and the team on Monday, he was surrounded by people who had given him some bad advice.”
“We need to get him back in physical shape because he has a great winning mentality.”
