Speed Darlington, a well-known entertainer, is under investigation due to an Instagram video in which he seemed to admit to defiling a 15-year-old girl.
Speed Darlington recounted the incident in the Igbo language, which occurred at an unnamed hotel
He alleged that the girl was left bleeding after the sexual encounter, and that he had to pay the hotel staff N2,000 to have the sheets changed.
His disclosures caused a social media uproar, with numerous individuals calling for the relevant authorities to arrest and detain Speed Darlington.
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, DSVA, has now reacted to the viral video clip.
“The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has acknowledged the troubling video that is presently online, where a well-known performer purportedly confesses to having illegal sexual relations with someone underage.
Although the person involved did not indicate where the incident occurred during the Instagram Live session, we must clarify that the DSVA’s authority is confined to Lagos State.
“Considering the aforementioned circumstances and in accordance with our pledge to justice, we have raised the matter with the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons,” stated the Lagos DSVA on X.
