Fidelis Ilechukwu, Rangers’ technical adviser, feels that his team’s goalless draw with Kwara United was a loss for veteran forward Godwin Obaje. Due to an injury, Obaje was unable to attend the match at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu. Ilechukwu blamed his team’s inability to convert their opportunities for the game’s result. He promised to focus on making the squad better in the games that followed. In an interview conducted after the game, Ilechukwu said, “We tried to have Obaje ready for the game, but he couldn’t because of the injury.Obaje has proven to be a valuable member of the team, particularly in light of our recent goal-scoring difficulties. Since I constantly teach my players how to score goals, I expect them to take responsibility. “I’m hurt by the game’s result because we could have secured a spot on the league table with a victory. We’ll keep up the good job and fix our mistakes going forward.
