According to Ms Rinsola Abiola, who serves as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Citizenship and Leadership, the tax reforms spearheaded by President Bola Tinubu aim to empower and support young Nigerians and create a better economic future for them.
Likewise, Zach Adedeji, the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), encouraged young people to engage more with tax issues so they can better grasp its workings and the advantages taxation offers them.
The two individuals spoke at a Youth and Tax town hall meeting that was co-organized by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Citizenship and Leadership (OSSAP-CL) and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
Ms Abiola assured that the proposed tax reforms in Nigeria aim not only at revenue collection but also at creating opportunities, empowerment, and national inclusion.
